Winter WarmUp with ReStrung: Free Concert in Downtown Saline on Friday Feb. 26.

Maybe we have not been buried with snow like they have out east, but winter is winter, and we could all use a break.  On Friday February 26, Fiddlers ReStrung will warm up Saline with a free concert in town at the Old Methodist Church Building (also the former home of the Calico Cat at 117 S. Ann Arbor St. (at the intersection with Henry Street).  The 7:30pm show will feature some of the new music that ReStrung is working on, as well as some of the old favorites as well.  The show is made possible through the efforts of the Saline Chamber of Commerce and we hope you come early to shop, have dinner or a coffee and enjoy a wonderful evening in town.

At the Winter WarmUp Concert, ReStrung will be having a special pre-sale ticket offer for their Spring Hometown Concert with Darol Anger’s Republic of Strings, taking place at Ellen Ewing Performing Arts Center of Saline High School, on Saturday April 24, 2010.  Hometown tickets will cost $10 for students and $15 for seniors and adults. 

At the February 26^th  WarmUp Concert only, general admission Spring Hometown tickets will be available for pre-sale at a special discount – Buy One Ticket get One Ticket Free.  This is a great way to help stretch your dollar while seeing some of the most dynamic performers on the progressive strings circuit, Darol Anger’s Republic of Strings (www.republicofstrings.com).

ReStrung consists of students at Saline High School, all of whom share in producing a unique ensemble truly their own. Working alongside leadership, students craft their own arrangements and help make organizational decisions.
